Public Statement¨

For the past several months, I have been the target of constant rumors, intimidation, and attempts to damage not only my reputation but also the reputation of the man I love.

I am a mathematics teacher. Every week I teach around fifty students.

This is my profession, and this is how I earn my living.

During the past months, when Sri Lanka was suffering from the political and economic crisis and tourism almost disappeared, this income supported not only me but both of us.

In my free time, I clean up litter left behind in public places, help local kindergartens and schools, and spend countless hours creating websites, presentations, photographs, videos, and promotional materials to support tourism and show the beauty of Sri Lanka to the world.

That is why it is deeply disappointing to see that some people prefer spending their time collecting information about my private life behind my back, spreading rumors, and trying to use those stories to put pressure on Perly.

Let me make one fact absolutely clear:

**ANY TOURISTS I FIND ARE PERLY'S CLIENTS. ALL INCOME FROM HIS GUIDING SERVICES BELONGS TO HIM ALONE!!!****

I AM SIMPLY PERLYS PARTNER, HELPING HIM WITH HIS WEBSITE, PRESENTATIONS, PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOS, AND THE PROMOTION OF HIS WORK.

****PERLY HOLDS ALL THE NECESSARY LICENSES AND LEGALLY REQUIRED PERMITS TO WORK AS A PROFESSIONAL TOUR GUIDE.**

Anyone who deliberately presents a different version of these facts is spreading false information.

I did not come to Sri Lanka to take work away from anyone.

On the contrary, I have invested my own time, energy, and money into helping local communities, supporting schools, cleaning public places, and promoting this beautiful country to visitors from around the world.

It is truly sad that these efforts are being met with jealousy, false accusations, and attempts at intimidation.

I also wish to make it clear that any further spreading of false information, harassment, attempts to pressure us, or interference with my private life may result in legal action and i will go again with police.¨

This is my final public statement on this matter.

I will not engage in further public discussions.

The truth does not change simply because someone repeats a lie.

Welcome to our corner of Sri Lanka!

We are Jana and Perly, partners passionate about sharing the beauty, history, and culture of this amazing island. Together, we founded our Activity Centre, where visitors can experience the best of Polonnaruwa and beyond.

Perly is a local history expert, especially focused on the ancient ruins and cultural heritage of Polonnaruwa.

I'm Jana, from the Czech Republic, and I've been sharing the beauty of Sri Lanka with visitors for years, including through online presentations about the island.

Together, we aim to connect travelers with the local community, involving residents in authentic experiences and attractions. We also support underprivileged children by helping them gain access to education.

Through this approach, visitors can enjoy a richer, more meaningful glimpse into Sri Lanka's history, nature, and traditions.
