Day 1: Negombo - Galle

  • From Negombo to the South – travel from the western coast towards the tropical landscapes of southern Sri Lanka.
  • Sea Turtle Conservation Centre – visit a local centre dedicated to the protection of Sri Lanka's sea turtles and learn about their conservation.
  • Galle – continue towards the historic coastal city overlooking the Indian Ocean.
  • Relax by the Ocean – enjoy time on the beach and the warm waters of the southern coast.
  • Evening by the Sea – finish the first day with a peaceful evening beside the Indian Ocean. 


Day 2: Mirissa

  • Mirissa – Ocean Boat Trip – set out onto the Indian Ocean and experience the southern coast from the sea.
  • Whale & Dolphin Watching – look for blue whales, sperm whales and dolphins in the waters off Mirissa.
  • From Coast to Sinharaja Forest Reserve  – after the morning on the ocean, leave the coast and travel inland towards the lush landscapes of southern Sri Lanka.
  • Sinharaja Forest Reserve – continue towards Sri Lanka's famous tropical rainforest and one of the island's most important natural areas.
  • Into the Wilderness – leave the coast behind and enter a completely different world of dense forest, streams and wildlife.



Day 3: Sinharaja Forest Reserve

  • Start the day with an exciting guided exploration of Sinharaja Rainforest, one of Sri Lanka's most precious natural treasures, surrounded by ancient trees, rich vegetation and fascinating wildlife.
  • Walk through the rainforest with a local guide and discover its incredible biodiversity, listening to the sounds of birds, insects and the forest around you.
  • Take a refreshing break and enjoy a swim beneath a beautiful rainforest waterfall, surrounded by lush tropical nature.
  • In the afternoon, slow down and enjoy relaxing time in the rainforest, taking in the peaceful atmosphere and natural surroundings.
  • In the evening, return to your Sinharaja accommodation, relax and enjoy the sounds of the rainforest.


Day 4: Udawalawe, Ravana falls

  • Start the day with a visit to the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, where you can learn about the care and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants.
  • Continue your journey towards Ella, enjoying the changing landscapes as you travel through Sri Lanka's beautiful hill country.
  • Stop at the spectacular Ravana Falls, surrounded by lush mountains and connected with the legendary stories of King Ravana.
  • Arrive in Ella in the evening, when the town comes alive with cosy cafés, restaurants and a relaxed atmosphere.
  • Enjoy a pleasant evening in Ella before settling into your accommodation and getting ready for the next day's adventures.


Day 5: Ravana Caves / Ella Rock & Little Adam's Peak

  • Choose between Ella Rock, offering a rewarding hike and spectacular mountain views, or the mysterious Ravana Caves, connected with the ancient legends of King Ravana.
  • Continue to Little Adam's Peak, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and watch the sunset over the mountains.
  • In the evening, enjoy Ella by night, with the option to visit the famous Ella Chilli Restaurant and experience the lively atmosphere of the town.
  • End the day with a relaxing evening at your Ella accommodation.


Day 6: Bambarakanda Falls

  • Bambarakanda Falls – see the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka, plunging 263 metres through the mountain landscape.
  • Mountain Landscape – travel through the green highlands, forests and winding mountain roads surrounding the waterfall.
  • Waterfall Walk – follow the forest path towards the base of the falls and enjoy the spectacular view.
  • Natural Pool – depending on local conditions, there is an opportunity to enjoy the refreshing water in the natural pool below the waterfall - swimming depends on current water conditions and safety.  
  • Wild Highland Nature – experience the peaceful atmosphere of Sri Lanka's central mountains, surrounded by forest, mist and cascading water. 


Day 7: Horton Plains

  • Horton Plains National Park – explore a spectacular highland plateau at around 2,000 metres above sea level, surrounded by montane forests and grasslands.
  • World's End – walk to the famous viewpoint, where the plateau ends in a dramatic escarpment with wide views across the lowlands.
  • Baker's Falls – follow the trail through the highland landscape to one of the park's best-known waterfalls.
  • Unique Wildlife – look for endemic birds, reptiles and other wildlife found in Sri Lanka's central highlands.
  • UNESCO World Heritage Site – Horton Plains forms part of the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010.  


Day 8: Dunhinda Waterfall

  • Dunhinda Falls – admire one of Sri Lanka's most picturesque waterfalls, cascading 64 metres through the lush hills near Badulla.
  • The "Smoking Waterfall" – its name refers to the fine mist created as the water plunges into the natural pool below.
  • Forest Walk – reach the waterfall along a scenic trail through dense greenery, with Kuda Dunhinda, the Little Dunhinda Falls, along the way.
  • Wild Nature – the walk offers opportunities to see birds, butterflies, monkeys and other wildlife.

  • Day 9: Meemure, Diyakerella Falls

    • Meemure Village – discover this remote traditional village surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
    • Mountain Trek – enjoy a longer trek through forests, valleys and mountain paths around Meemure.
    • Diyakerella Falls – follow the trail through the forest to this beautiful waterfall hidden in the mountains.
    • Natural Pools & Streams – cool off in the clear mountain water and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.


    Day 10: Meemure

    • Morning in Meemure – enjoy a quiet morning surrounded by the mountains.
    • Short Nature Walk – take a gentle walk through the village and its surrounding countryside.
    • Mountain Views – enjoy the last views of the Knuckles landscape before leaving Meemure.
    • Departure from Meemure – continue your journey towards Sigiriya.


    Day 11: Sigiriya elephant safari

    • Elephant Safari – explore the wilderness around Sigiriya from a safari jeep and look for wild elephants in their natural habitat.
    • Wildlife & Nature – discover the dry-zone landscape of forests, grasslands and ancient reservoirs.
    • Elephant Herds – depending on the season and conditions, you may have the chance to see elephants gathering near water and feeding areas.
    • Birdwatching – keep an eye out for colourful and endemic birds living around the forests and wetlands.
    • A Wild Sri Lankan Experience – enjoy an authentic safari surrounded by the landscapes and wildlife of Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle.


    Day 12: Polonnaruwa - lake

    • Spend the day by the lake and observe monkeys in the surrounding trees, with the chance to see elephants near the water.
    • Take a ride on traditional fishing boats across the lake and observe the many species of birds living around the shoreline.
    • For a little adventure, enjoy a tube ride along the peaceful canals connected to the lake.
    • As evening falls, watch for flying foxes (fruit bats) returning to their roosts and enjoy a relaxed barbecue by the lake.
    • Later in the evening, when the forest becomes quiet, set out to observe lorises, fascinating nocturnal animals in their natural surroundings.
