Jana
My name is Jana and I decided to live in Sri Lanka. I have had many activities in this country for 5 years, but my job is to teach students.

I organize online lectures about Sri Lanka every other Tuesday at 8:00 PM from August to May in Czech. The lectures are on various topics related to life in this country. The proceeds from the lectures always go to help children and nature.
My boyfriend Perly, who has been interested in history, nature and travel all his life and has been the president of the Polonnaruwa Tourist Guides Association several times, often helps me with the lectures.
The current overview of lectures for the next period can be found here:

I am usually in the Czech Republic for one month a year - part of my stay also includes lectures in libraries, tourist clubs, daycare centers and schools.

This year I also participated in the Czech Radio Brno with my story about Sri Lanka.

In Sri Lanka, I try to help especially poor children. I have organized several toy collections, Christmas dinners for children from orphanages, humanitarian aid for children from orphanages, help for poor families in the post-covid period, help for mentally disabled children.
My efforts were given a deeper direction by Radomila Charvátová, who entered my life like an angel, created a collection for children, and we have been working together for a long time. I am very grateful to her and her friend Petra for everything.

Thanks to Radka and Petra's collection, we initiated assistance and repairs to the school in Aluthgama.

I regularly contribute from my online stories about Sri Lanka to children - but only to those who complete my tasks.
The tasks are mainly focused on ecology, helping nature and relationships between children.

This year I also started giving lectures at local schools.
The lectures are again focused on nature and ecology - for example, on burning plastics and microplastics in nature.

After the lecture on microplastics, the children were asked to find a way to use plastic. They did a great job. This is an exhibition for tourists who came to support the students.

The children drew lots of beautiful pictures. We are also planning a Christmas sales exhibition in the Czech Republic to support the education of local children.

I also try to donate the financial proceeds from lectures in the Czech Republic to some of the schools.
My boy friend Perly often helps me with all my activities, and I thank him very much for that.

Tourists coming to Sri Lanka often bring gifts for children.

They then visit the school in person and many play with the children, talk, and exchange opinions and experiences from both countries.

My activities are also focused on helping nature and ecology.

A big thank you to all those who support me in my work.
Thank you to ROSKA Brno for the great support - even though they are sick themselves, they are able to support what they can.

In my free time, I like to travel with my boyfriend Perly, discover new beautiful places in Sri Lanka.

In Sri Lanka, I also study Ayurveda.

My big hobby is an interest in old symbols, philosophy, old mathematics.

My great joy is the garden, cats and flowers.
