Blacksmith
A blacksmith is a craftsman who uses heat, hammers, and anvils to shape and work iron and steel into tools, hardware, decorative items, and other functional objects. This craft requires skills in heating the metal to make it malleable, forging it into the desired shape, and sometimes hardening and tempering it for a specific use. Although historically a blacksmith was essential to the production of everyday objects before mass production, the modern blacksmith often works as an artist or craftsman, creating custom pieces and making repairs.
This family-run forge has a history. The first kings of Anuradhapura had knives and tools made here. It's great that this tradition has survived to this day.
