My name is Perly Chanaka Hewage and I am a tourist guide at the Polonnaruwa archaeological site.
My job is my life's mission. I have been interested in history since childhood, I have traveled the world and was interested in historical places, working with tourists is enriching for me with a lot of interesting topics, questions and ideas.
The museum is one of the main parts of my life. In addition to guiding tourists, I also take care of improving the quality of services, cleanliness and quality of those who guide travelers.
That is why I have accepted the position of President of the Polonnaruwa Tourist Guides Association several times.
As part of my work, I often attend various meetings with ministers and representatives of Sri Lanka to promote tourism, history, and environmental cleanliness.
I often give suggestions for cleaning the country and improving services for travelers, I participate in cleaning events.
Like I take tourists all over Sri Lanka, show them interesting places in my country, introduce them to the life and traditions of the country.
I emphasize cooperation with local residents, to whom I offer job opportunities, but also interesting meetings that often grow into long-term friendships.

Together with my girlfriend Jana, we are dedicated to supporting schools, educating poor children, and educating children about the environment.
Our tourists often visit local schools and establish beautiful relationships with them.
We organize online lectures on Sri Lanka focused on learning about the history, nature, and traditions of this country.
In my free time I study foreign languages - I speak English, German, Tamil and Sinhala.
My girlfriend and I travel a lot and enjoy spending time in the nature of Sri Lanka.
We are building a natural house in our garden full of herbs, flowers, fruits and vegetables.
I like to cook and create stone decorations in the house and garden.
